At the Learning Academy Partnership (LAP) we are committed to providing all of our staff with excellent and high quality professional development in order to impact upon children’s lives.
We believe that, at the LAP, we offer professional development of the highest quality and that it is the jewel in our crown. However, in order to continue to strive towards continuing excellence we sought external validation of this and welcomed challenge as to how we can move to a more research, enquiry based model of CPD.
‘The Teacher Development Trust Network is a partnership of schools & colleges dedicated to developing world class, evidence-informed professional learning, focused on raising attainment, it was created to support organisations that are facing up to these challenges. It is a collaborative partnership of schools and colleges focused on innovation and improvement through highly effective and evidence-based staff professional development and learning. Our members shape and develop our work and are committed to the principle of peer-to-peer support.’ (The TDT Website)
After a very rigorous and robust audit and assessment process, one in which the opinions of all staff were sought, we have now been awarded with our marks. We are pleased to announce that our Academies were awarded the following based on the professional development provision.
Gold Award: Ellacombe and Ilsham
Silver Award - All Saints Marsh
Bronze Award - Warberry
This is truly amazing! We are incredibly proud that our provision for staff has been validated in this way as we believe that we offer something special. The grades reflect how long each academy has been within the LAP and we have no doubt that Gold Awards will swiftly follow for All Saints Marsh and Warberry as they become established members of the LAP.
